Welcome to TINL Wiki!
[edit]TINL is a collection of short, focused, alternate timelines branching off from a main timeline. Each timeline focuses on a specific event or nation, with enough information to provide the illusion of a fully fleshed out world. This wiki is still under construction. TINL needs to undergo heavy changes from what has currently been created to fit within the wiki page format. The priority timelines are the primary focus, with secondary timelines being intermittently updated.
Priority Timelines
[edit]Volkssturm: After their defeat in the Great War, the social democrats in Germany align with the socialists and communists in the early days of the German Republic. As the nation moves through the turbulent Interwar Era, reactionaries are able to infiltrate and subvert the nation, bringing about a Confederation of Socialist States at the cost of millions more deaths and years of destruction.
To Win This Crusade: The United States of America, Philippines, and Africa is a nation built on violence. And a nation built on violence cannot survive without an enemy. From its independence from Britain, to its subjugation of Amerindians, to its conquest of Mexico and the Caribbean, to its perpetuation of slavery, when a nation runs out of enemies to fight, the enemies become internal.
Secondary Timelines
[edit]Union Dixie: When the Confederate States of America won their independence from the United States, some believed that the institution of slavery would last forever. The Southerner would not be so lucky.
One Flaming Effort: The collapse of the Ottoman Empire brought anarchy to the Near East. Where one foreign empire fell, others sought to take its place. The Arabs fought for their independence before. They will do it again. Again and again. As long as it takes.
A Tale of Two Dynasties: The Habsburg Empire survived far longer than it should have in the Age of Nationalism. It was only through reform and reparations that the dynasty was able to retain power. The Bourbon Dynasty would not follow the same path.
The Sheep and the Horses: The Mediterranean Sea is the birthplace of the first advanced civilizations in Europe. What if it wasn't?
